Unless you are a superhero, we have all been in the situation where we find ourselves losing focus and complacent during the work day. During this time of the holiday season, it could be even harder to zone into the work opportunities and goals set out to achieve by the end of the year. Here are some questions to ask yourself entering the new year with regard to work focus.
Are you setting yourself up in the right environment?
It is important to be in the most productive environment when selecting your workspace. As we have shifted into a new world of remote working away from the main office, what qualities are of priority to support your best work? Are you better or easily distracted in an environment where there is some foot traffic around? Do you need a door to close where you are in your own space? Do you have energy and vibrance within your work setting or are you better in a typical white wall space? Do you need music to zone in and pass the work hours by?
Are you engaging with others in your workplace?
Isolation can be a great way for a lot of workers to avoid distractions and engage with the workday. For others, a moment to take a break during our workdays to talk to others can be a recharge. Within The One Cowork, we have a selective group of clients, open coworkers and private office clients, that love to converse with each other throughout the workday. Collaboration is an opportunity we hold at value as we have many various industries within the center that love to work with others and seek to help other industries.
How are you utilizing your downtime during the workday?
Being able to plug in and focus for an entire 8-hour workday can be a challenge for most. Some need the extra push or trick to get them through the workday while maintaining productivity. For some, the simple coffee or tea for a caffeine boost could the needed lift. For others, lunch breaks away from the office is the key. A simple walk around outside could also be a great habit to escape the office and recharge.
At The One Cowork, we can help with all of the above! Our center provides an environment of inspiration most workplaces can’t meet. Our design of various art pieces and are the model for creativity great for open Cowork members. We also help design and create private office spaces meant to fuel one’s imagination. We are a center where many entrepreneurs can meet, converse and collaborate on a project. It is not always about collaboration either. Many of our coworkers love to get to know each other and create friendships in the process, especially over our free coffee and espresso. Our facility is located within a large business park that hosts on-site cafes & restaurants if you wish to get away from the private office lunch or delivery fee options.
